Winemaker: Romain Petiteau

Grapes: White melon

Characteristics: A nose that opens gently on a very beautiful minerality (wet stone), notes of white flowers (goat leaf), and light buttery aromas and yellow plum. On the palate, a lively, complex, mineral wine with a long finish on pretty creamy, floral notes to which is added a bitterness of bitter almonds and plum stone. The saline finish will only call for another drink.

Pairing: Fresh goat cheese

Aging: Between 2 and 3 years

Alcohol: 12% Vol.

Cultivation: Romain took over the family estate in the heart of Muscadet in 2015. He initiated the conversion to organic of the 21ha of vines in the estate and produces natural vinifs.

Vinification: White melon in natural vinification and without added sulphites.

For the record: "Catorpées"? In local Gallo patois "Quaterpées" means "four legs" a way of evoking the amphibians and other somewhat mysterious beings that inhabit the streams and ponds of the surroundings.
